so this month, finally got my own place.

first time living on my own, outside of the campus dorms.

gorgeous house. i love it.

living with 2 strangers.

still looking for a job.......................... ugh.
i've been holding out and waiting to hear back from these jobs i've applied to that i'd actually enjoy.
cause i really want to enjoy my job...
work--it's something most of us have to do for a huge chunk of our lives.
so many people dread their job.
i'm not trying to be one of those people.
life is too short to waste time doing something you cannot stand.
why not do what you love?
& if it's what you love, it's not work.
& that's what i'm really aiming for.
but times a tickin and i really need something to happen--SOON.

let us pray someone hires me--SOON.

cause rent isn't free.

which i'd like to rant about real quick.
RENT IS NOT FREE.
so why does everyone want a free photoshoot?
lately it's been an obnoxious occurrence.
no boo, that's not happening...

update:

i packed up my life and got in the car.

drove back to va.

been bumming on my friends' couch.

hoping to get an apartment soon.

still jobless.

currently sick. contagion.

the struggle is real.

but it's gonna be worth it.

haven't turned my laptop on since the day i left home.

(it's near death. didn't want to test it but i'm so behind on blogging and editing pictures now).

i should be back and running fairly soon.
just need to get some things settled.

hello september! i see this being a good month. i will speak it into existence! august wasn't that exciting for me since i've been stressing to get a job and well, the struggle is real. i feel so much responsibility and pressure right now to get a job and get my career going because of a lot of financial issues. college loans are gonna kick in soon, and it really freaks me out because i know my parents are working super hard, but it's barely enough to cover the expenses of life! so i've been kinda down in my spirits. i've been applying everywhere it seems, and nothing is really coming through. it's just frustrating because i knowww i'm more than capable of these jobs! & i'll be honest, i'm glad i graduated, but i'm a little lost as to what's next. i've lived a pretty structured life most of my life, so it's kinda hard for me to let go sometimes. but i realize the unknown can be a beautiful thing. full of possibilities, and that's what i'm focusing on. it's only the beginning. so i shall keep applying like a maniac and pray something good will come along. i know it's coming! i just need to be a wee bit more patient! that's always been an issue of mine! haha.

anyways enough blabbing, because i needed inspiration, i went back and watched this.

this video is ALWAYS as inspiring as it was the first time i saw it, if not more.
if you haven't seen it, you MUST! trust me. i've been meaning to post this for agessss.
this is quite possibly 10 minutes that could change your entire outlook on life.

greatness truly exists in all of us.

we make the situation more complex than it has to be.

while the other guy is sleeping, i'm working. while the other guy is eating, i'm working.

dedicate yourself to being better every single day.

if you're going to be here, then there's a necessity to make a difference.

i want to do good. i want the world to be better because i was here.

if you're not making someone else's life better, then you are wasting your time. your life will become better by making other lives better.

the first step before anyone else in the world believes it is you have to believe it.

what's the point in being realistic? it's unrealistic to walk in a room and flip a switch and lights come on. fortunately, edison didn't think so.

make a choice. you just decide what it's gonna be, who you're gonna be, how you're gonna do it. just decide, and from that point, the universe is going to get out your way.

don't ever let somebody tell you you can't do something. you got a dream, you gotta protect it. people can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. you want something, go get it. period.
