BET apologizes about their drake and lil wayne performance. this is what they had to say:
“BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET Awards ’09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine). Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened,” the network said in a statement. “We value and appreciate the feedback from our viewers and have edited Young Money’s performance for all BET Awards ’09 encore presentations.”
well dang, guess i don't get to see the ignorance myself! haha, i'm sure it's online somewhere. but whatever! i still can't believe little girls were on stage dancing to "every girl"!!! that's just crazy inappropriate! i do admit the song is really catchy and unfortunately, i really like it... what can ya do?! anyways, i do respect BET for their apology and the fact that drake himself said that he didn't think their performance was appropriate in his interview with complex. my question is... why didn't he just not perform, but i don't know the consequences to something like that so i can't say much else. but you would think BET knew better?? well we all make mistakes...
the edited version airs monday [july 6th].
