this beautiful unique piece of art, called the Hemlock 82, is created by a man named Bryan Nash Gill. it's definitely easier said than done but he basically took a hemlock tree stump, smoothed it out, rolled ink onto it, put handcrafted washi paper on it, & pressed the paper with his fingers onto the inked stump to create such a spectacular creation. i love it!
there is a limited edition of 12 of these prints exclusively sold at Ashes & Milk going for $4000 each! (!!!!!)
& here is a close up picture of the 52" long x 38.5" wide print. do you see the detail in that mess?!? unbelievable.
